International Department Teachers Providing Demonstration Lessons
To improve the quality of teaching, to communicate the learning experience provided and to further the relationship between school and students’ parents; the International Department has been recently encouraging all the staff to provide demonstration lessons.
On the 31st May 2013, three expatriate teachers, Mrs. Wallace, Miss Robledo and Miss Stone taught Math, Science and English demonstration lessons. Mrs. Wallace taught Primary 5 students about whole numbers, Miss Robledo taught Primary 6 students about the Sun and the Solar System, while Miss Stone and the Primary 4 students talked about “A Visit to the Doctor”.
All the teachers’ demonstrations were clear and vivid, the activities they designed were interesting and useful and the atmosphere was lively and joyful. In the 45 minute period, the students not only learned new things, but also enjoyed the process of learning.
When the bell rang, parents who came to observe the lessons all applauded the teachers’ excellent teaching. They also gave many positive comments after the class concluded.
