I took part in the socialpractice trip to Qianlingshan. We visited the geological section and learned about rock strata. Deeper layers of rocks are older. My favorite activity was fossil digging. I saw models of trilobites and ammonites.
At the limekiln site, I learned how limestone becomes lime through hightemperature burning. Lime can be used for building walls and improving soil. We also played fun team games. This trip taught me to protect fossils. It was a meaningful outdoor lesson for me.

Our school went to Qianlingshan for a oneday field trip. Rocks are like Earth’s diaries that record ancient history. Fossils are secrets of ancient living things. Ancient animals were covered by mud and turned into fossils over millions of years.
I drew my favorite ancient creature on my task sheet. At the lime kiln ruins, I learned many daily uses of lime. Team games helped me learn about teamwork. This trip opened my eyes. I hope to explore more interesting earth science in the future.
Class 4-1
On October 15, I joined the Qianlingshan study trip. Earth has a very long history. We saw pictures of pterosaurs, the flying reptiles that are not dinosaurs.
I enjoyed the fossildig experience most. Later we visited old lime kilns and understood how lime is produced. We played interesting group games together. I got a small crystal souvenir. I realize we must protect geological relics. This fantastic outdoor trip brings me lots of fun and useful knowledge.
Class 4-2
The Qianlingshan field trip was unforgettable. We explored Guanyin Cave and learned how peak forests and underground caves form. We followed safety rules all the time during hiking.
I recorded rock information on my worksheet. We discussed the chemical change of limestone at the limekiln site. In the museum, I learned the Cambrian life explosion and different kinds of fossils. As students, we can tell friends not to collect wild fossils. This science trip makes me more interested in geology.
Class 5-1
I really enjoyed my study tour to Qianlingshan. Inside Guanyin Cave, I saw amazing karst landforms shaped by rainwater over thousands of years. While climbing mountains, I carefully observed rocks around me.
We learned lime‑making history at lime‑kiln ruins. The poet used lime’s whiteness to praise noble personalities. The fossil museum showed me how ancient lives turned into fossils. We should not take fossils away. This outdoor class helps me better understand our planet’s long history.
Class 5-1
I visited Qianlingshan Geopark for social practice. We had a cool caveexploring activity in Guanyin Cave. I learned that weak acid rainwater slowly dissolves limestone and forms karst caves.
We hiked up the mountain, at the limekiln park, we talked about Song of Lime. Highheat burning turns limestone into new material. In the fossil museum, I learned about mineralization and how fossils are formed.Fossils are nonrenewable. We should protect them and never dig them privately.

This autumn trip to Qianling Mountain in Fengtai was such a surprise for me. I loved the "treasure hunt in the cave" most—we held flashlights and searched for the treasure in the cool rock cave, and our science teacher told us how the limestone here formed over millions of years. My legs ached a lot when we walked down the mountain, but none of us complained. Walking side by side with my classmates, I knew this would be one of my best memories in primary school.
Class 6-1
I have heard of Qianling Mountain many times, but this school trip let me experience it for real. When our guide explained how the rocks on the mountain formed, I suddenly realized that every stone we touched was a story from thousands of years ago. We shared snacks and laughed all the lunch break, and even the tiredness from climbing became a happy thing when we stayed together. It’s such a warm end to our final autumn trip in primary school.
